And the new club is…
As you may of seen from my last post I grew bored of FC Twente after winning everything domestically and it being impossible to make an impact on Europe. So I needed a new challenge. Not from Holland, nor England. But from France – and not Ligue 1. Here’s the club I’ve selected…
AS Monaco! The former French powerhouses won the Champions League 8 years ago but their fall from grace was evident as they got relegated to Ligue 2, losing massive amounts of money. The aim is to get them promoted again to Ligue 1 and return them their former glory – we should be getting promoted, especially as we are predicted to finish 2nd in Ligue 2.
Here are also my season expectations;
I’ve set them winner as I believe we really can win the title – and for that I’ve got an astonishing £11.25m transfer budget, with £275k also to spend on wages, a fantastic amount.
Well, the next post will detail you on pre-season plus my transfers – thanks for (hopefully!) sticking with my blog despite me quitting Twente.

with that 11 million and current squad we should be seeing Monaco back in league sooner rather than later.

Great choice of club!
But you have made a mistake there, AS Monaco (then coached by current French natl. team Didier Deschamps) actually lost in the final against Porto (under the “Only One” Jose Mourinho)

Ah! I wasn’t entirely sure if they had won it or not, or if it was the UEFA Cup final they were in but thanks for clearing it up!
